Jars of potpurri. Be sure containers are heavy glass or plastic so there is no danger of breakage and injury.
Take them to a park or botanical garden where you have previously arranged for them to “harvest’ good smelling things.
Dresing jars up with a ribbon is cool, too

A diorama of a special place in the school? A few years ago we made a diorama of our quiet area and adjacent playground. Each child made a model of themselves out of Model magic and painted to put in the diorama. Benches were made out of painted pegs and lollysticks and there was a central papier mache tree. Each part was quite obviously child made but the overall impact was more striking because it was a scene and because the place was special to them. With $100 you could use better quality materials.

Kids can decorate individual small tiles and then you can decorate (mosaic-like) a bench, patio table, etc. with them.
I’ve also seen them do “stepping” stone tiles. Again, same concept: kids decorate their stones using mosaic pieces, colorful marbles and rocks, etc. Then each tile is individually auctioned or sold for about $25 to $30.

A wall hanging. Each kid designs their own pocket, and adds a little item to go inside. Or even more brilliatly, christmas calendars. Parents will dote over what their little angel made at school, and the result can be incredibly cute.

may daughters class made pine comb bird feeders. They dip the pine combs in peanut butter then rolled them in bird seeds and tied a ribbon on top so they could be hung from trees. We have two in the tree in front of our house and they work GREAT.

I’ve seen tile murals done where a famous piece of artwork is broken down into a grid, and each student takes a blank tile and paints (with pottery glaze) the design from that grid section onto the tile. They are all fired and reassembled into the piece of art. It’s really very cool and if the right piece of artwork were chosen, it could turn out awesome. Think Monet or Van Gogh!
Another idea with tiles would be making sets of coasters, or with larger tiles they could make hotpads for putting on dining room tables under hot foods
