I teach dance at my dance studio. RIght now I have a jazz class, a preschool ballet class and a preschool tap class. I’m fine with my jazz and ballet class, but every week I struggle for things to do with my tap class. I have a boy in the class who is completely wild. The age group is 3-6. What are some games I could play with the class that are somewhat dance related that would hold their attention and still be fun?
Thanks!

ok so what my teacher does is she puts on music and lets them like make their noises with the shoes for like 5 min then lines them up on those like colored plastic dots that you could use. She then goes down one side and has one of the assistants go down the other and lets each kid (when its their turn) hold a princess wand while they do either 6 shuffles or just 6 heels or whatever you want them to do. Then she has them go to the barre and start to lurn shuffles (she has a cd that has a song for little kids) and that only takes about 3 or 4 min. Since little kids dont have a big attention span, she takes out balloons and gives one to each kid and they chase it around for a while haha. For the jazz classes she takes out hula hoops and has a tube they could crawl through so i suppose you could use that in a tap class too. Kids are crazy so good luck! =]
