I do daycare in IL.People want me to do preschool also .Dont I have to have a teachers degree?

I teach preschool, and I have four year olds. The theme for next semester in my class is camping and the outdoors and I need ideas of ways to incorporate that into my classroom. My class is kind of small, but I need any ideas anyone has to help. I love my kids and really want to make this as fun and special or them as I can!!!

I am planning on sending my child to a Waldorf preschool. I am not sure if I want to commit all through elementary school, since the tuition is more expensive than the very good public school (that is even closer to home).
Has anyone done this and what were your experiences. Would you advise such preschool knowing that I might send to public elemntary school later on? Thanks.

For my son, I believe it was a critical component of his intellectual development. He went to preschool, prekindergarten, then kindergarten.
I know a lot of parents that are choosing less and less to have their kids in preschool. I just can’t imagine not having gone to preschool!
Mostly it is due to financial reasons that they are not getting sent to preschool, I totally understand that.

I teach in an inclusive preschool that has both typical students and students with special needs between the ages of 2.5 and 5. I am looking for some activities or crafts that focus on the letter C or D. Any ideas from projects that your children have done in preschool are welcome. Thanks.

I can’t afford preschool for my almost 2 year old son unless I stay on the welfare to work program which is a huge hassle to stay in as there is so much paperwork involved. The closest head start to my house doesn’t start until the child is 2 years 9 months. So my dilemna is what to do with my son until then. How crucial is preschool before they turn 3?
