I’m homeschooling Kindergarten and I’m looking for lesson plans as well as activities. (arts and crafts etc.)
Basically I would like to know what most of you will be working on this quarter. thx
I am being told that it cost about $250.00 to attend school per month. I am planning on sponsoring a childs schooling and I need to know the price for Kindergarden school or pre school
We live in a fairly small town, class sizes are between 15 and 20. My friend’s child is vegetarian. The other day he didn’t have a packed lunch, and he ended up eating a cheeseburger in the cafeteria.
The teacher knew he was vegetarian. My friend is livid.
Do teachers even eat with kindergartners? Honestly, I can’t imagine putting this kind of responsibility on a teacher, but does she have some responsibility here?
Just looking for a second opinion. Thanks.
My daughter starts kindergarten in a few days. should I sit with her for a while? Do I visit her?
My son’s school is holding the Kindergarten Graduation in the city in a beautifully restored historic building. My husband refuses to even consider going. He doesn’t like driving in the particular part of town that it’s being held at. I don’t know my way around this town. So what should I do? My son doesn’t care now, will he care when he gets older? I hate for him to miss it.
You are a kindergarten teacher. You are aware that a new student is enrolling in your class that is 70% blind. How do you prepare your students for this new person with a visual impairment? Be specific.
My daughter is going into Kindergarten in the fall. She is used to a daycare setting, but for only 3 days a week. Will she adjust well to going 5 days a week and being there until 3pm? It just seems like such a big step.
The requirement here is 5 years at or before Sept 1, and my son bday is October. But I heard in other state october or november? I worry if one day we move (which we will someday) and he will be the oldest and there is (for example) kids thats one year younger, and he will feel bad, or if other kids tease him for being 1 year older . What to do?
Tomorrow, I will be babysitting 2 kindergarteners who will not be in school. One has pink eye and the other does not. I am looking for activity suggestions that will keep the 2 boys separate. (in order to avoid spreading the infection) There is only so much coloring they can do and I’m not willing to set them in front of the TV all day. I’ve thought of a few activities, but I need more ideas. (coloring/painting, leaf rubbings, exercise, reading)
One boy is a full head smaller than the other boy so anything physically competetive is out of the question.
Hello,
Our 4 year old daughter is in her first year of Montessori preschool. We plan on keeping her in this program for one more year of preschool and then for Kindergarten. I don’t think we’ll continue with Montessori-style education for elementary though. I have read quite a bit about it and I definitely like it though it is expensive at $285 month for 3 mornings/ week. Does anyone have any feedback/experience to how their child fared with Montessori preschool/kindergarten compared to a play-based preschool? Thanks!
